Do you open if it’s raining?

Yes, all events will go on rain or shine, EXCEPT when an emergency weather advisory is issued.

What are the hours of operations?

Generally hours will be Thursday - Sunday through October 2020. Standard showtimes are as follows:

  • Early movie - 7:00 p.m.

  • Primetime movie - 10:00 p.m.

  • Late night movie - 12:00 a.m. (Dates will vary)

How can I buy tickets? And what does it include?

All tickets will be pre-sold online only and will be scanned by an event staff, through the window of the vehicle. Prices will start at $29 per vehicle (NO PASSENGER LIMIT).

Each ticket will be provided with a 15ft X 20ft parking space (No oversized vehicles, buses, campers, RVs, limousines will be permitted) Groups should plan to arrive together, if you want to park side by side.

Can I buy a Double Features or Back to Back shows ?

YES!! We encourage it… You can purchase back to back shows (double feature), and after the first movie you will NOT be asked to leave your parking spot.

What are the best directions to Park Up DC?

Entry gate for Park UP DC will be located at RFK Stadium Lot 5 2408 Independence Ave SE, Washington, DC 20003. As you are approaching the front of RFK Stadium around 22nd St. NE or Independence Ave., begin to look for Park Up signage on the left hand side along with the Lot 5 Entry Gate.

Can I get out of my car during the show?

NO, attendees must remain in their designated 15’x20’ parking space, and can not sit on hood or roof. You are permitted to leave your designated space for restroom visits. Attendees MUST wear a face mask when outside of their vehicle. During travel to and from the restrooms, guests are required to maintain a social distance of no less than six feet in every direction. Please maintain social distancing while in line for restroom facilities.

Note: Security will enforce a strict “NO GATHERING” policy on the grounds.

How do I hear the movie? Or hearing impaired

Using your car radio, please turn to the posted FM or AM radio station which will be on the movie screen upon entry. The movie or show sound will come through your car speakers. Unfortunately at this time we do not have a closed captioning technology for hearing impaired attendees.

Note: Radio apps do not work because we do not stream our sound over the internet. Use your vehicle’s radio: Be sure to check your owner’s manual so you can safely play your vehicle’s radio without draining its battery.

Can I arrive after the movie has started? What time should I arrive?

Yes, you are welcome to arrive anytime; however, your viewing location will most likely be in the back. We suggest you arrive 30 minutes before your showtime for best location.

Will there be food and drinks sold? Also, can I bring my own snack?

DURING PARK UP HOLIDAYS, NO food and drinks will be sold UNLESS NOTIFIED. ALL cars CAN bring their own FOOD AND DRINKS (NO ALCOHOL)

If I have a pickup truck or SUV, can I park backwards and sit in the back to watch the movies?

Yes, HOWEVER, please keep in mind other cars line of sight. So, if opening the hatch is higher than the top clearance of your vehicle, You could be asked to lower the hatch out of courtesy to other cars.

What happens if my car battery dies?

We can help if your battery dies. Please see one of our field attendants. Once we get your vehicle started, you cannot run your engine to charge your battery. Carbon monoxide is poison. You will have to EXIT the theater. (Fees may apply)

Do you accept cash?

Everything is sold online at Parkupdc.com. The venue is 100% cashless.

Are pets welcome?

We love pets, but Service Pets ONLY

Did you know about the DC Car Idle Law?

DC Government implemented a law to reduce vehicle emissions. With a few exceptions, motor vehicles powered by gasoline or diesel are not allowed to idle for more than three minutes while the vehicle is parked, stopped or standing. Please be mindful during the movie and do not idle your engine.

  I’m going with a group, can we park next to each other?

Yes; however, if you wish to park next to another car from your party, you must plan to arrive together. Parking spots will be assigned on a first come first serve basis, with no option to reserve a spot for another vehicle running late. Please follow the directions of event staff at all times.

   Do I need to wear my face masks?

When outside of your vehicle, we highly encourage the use of face masks. During travel to and from the restrooms, guests are REQUIRED to wear face masks and maintain a social distance of no less than six feet in every direction while in line. Restroom facilities will maintain social distance protocols.

I have an emergency. Can I leave in the middle of a movie / show?

Yes, you may leave at anytime.

 How are we keeping restrooms clean and healthy? How many restrooms will be available?

Portable toilets will be available on-site with strict guidelines to ensure safety and cleanliness. Gloves and hand sanitizer will be available for use. Restrooms will be cleaned after each use.

Refund & Rain-Out Policy

Refunds available via Universe Tickets 3 days before the selected show. We can only offer refunds if an event has been cancelled or postponed. If the event is rained out or any other Act of God we will offer exchanges for the show that was missed.
